VITA Surfboard

This surfboard was designed as part of a fund-raising event and exhibition held by the Architecture + Design Museum in Los Angeles. The form and graphic of the surfboard is based on the concept of a groundswell. The sunset colored, versatile, vintage inspired "egg" shaped board is decorated with a graphic representing the ebb and flow of the southern California tides. The ultimate design juxtaposed a gradient in color field with a gradient of line work. The resulting board is as vibrant in appearance as it is to ride.
